ADVERTS ;]

Friday, 8 January 2010

Advertisements.

1.
This advert livens you up because of its catchy name and the two actors making fools of themselves. It sends out a message to the reader that it's ok to make a fool out of yourself. Apparantly the word 'viva' means alive
in italian so they are telling the audience that this channel is going to be alive.

DEBATiNG CENSORiNG ;

CENSORiNG RAP:
DOES RAP iNCiTE CRiMiNALiTY?
FOR:
  • Rap encourages listners to Criminality ; Some use language that actively incites crime, for example encouraging weapons use , abuse or  homophobic attacks. It also glorifies a lifestyle that is rich with imagery of criminality ( e.g. Gun use and drug dealing).
  • Gangsta rappers clearly seek to appeal to a receptive youthful audience, which is so many of their images use young people and songs refer to event Gangsta which would strike an especial chord with young adults. This is irresponsible, as it represents an attempt by gangsta rappers to use their power to influence young people with a anti-social message.
AGAiNST:
  • Gangsta rappers provide a positive role model for young people. They are self made success stroies who have been often achieved considerable fame and wealth despite humble beginnings. Censoring them sends out a discouraging message to other young people who may see them as a form of inspiration to themselves to succeed in life.
  • Its a form of entertainment just like any other. Some use words or imagery that portrays certain criminal acts , but that is because they reflect the culture from which it spawned.

DENNOTATiON && CONNOTATiON (:

This is the advert for "PASTRY" Which is a fashion Brand. The Colours in this poster are bright and attractive; this makes you want to buy the products. There are Bright stars at the top which make a kind of fantasy feeling. I think that the target audience is teens because the girls themselves are teens and they are the ones who designed the clothes.

Screen Shots x

 This is a worms eye view sreen shot.  It is used in filming to look up to something to make an object look TALL , STRONG & MiGHTY .

A Mid Shot is a camera shot from a medium distance. Medium shots are relativlely good in showing facial expresseions but work well to show body language. Depending on where the characters aree placed in the shot, a medium shot is used to represent importance and power ( as you can see Zac Efron Is showing that he is more powerful then the bully =P )

 Long shot. This show's the entire object or human figure and is usually intended to place it in some relation to it's surroundings. This is from Hannah Montanne The Movie when she thinks that shes going  to New York but she Actually in Tennesse ! :]

Extereme Long Shot. An extreme long shot is used to show a large amount of landscape around the character/s. This is also known as an establishing shot. It is when the camera is at its furthest distance from the object.

Close Up. Close up's Are used to show detail and the expression in someones face. Its a way of showing their emotion. Close Up's tightly frame a person or an object.

Extreme Close Up. This shot is so tight that only a fraction of the focus of attention , such as someones eyes can be seen.

High Angle Shot. In film, a high angle shot is usually when the camera is located high (often above head height) and the shot is angled downwards (in contrast to a Low Angle Shot). This shot is used sometimes in scenes of confrontation and fights to show which person has the higher power. The subject of a high angle shot looks vulnerable or insignificant; if the shot represents a character's point of view the shot can also be used to make the character tall, more powerful or threatening.
